May is Mental Health Awareness Month, so now is the perfect time to take stock of your emotional wellness.

🌊 Like the waves that continuously flow onto the shore, the emotions that you choose to dwell on will continue to consume you until you catch wind in your sail and head for a more pleasant frame of mind. That’s why I encourage you to choose your emotional responses wisely.

⚖ I used to think of life as a constant juggling act. But I eventually figured out that it’s actually more of a balancing act. In moments of stillness and reflection, you will have the discernment to figure out the “takers” and “givers” in life. I pray you find your balance.

☀️ Happiness isn’t something that just happens. It’s created within ourselves. If you’re relying on others to fill your cup, not only is it unrealistic but it will only lead to dissatisfaction and resentment sooner or later. Focus on your own emotional state and creating your individual happiness.

True wellness is a combination of both optimal physical and mental health.
