Is Dysport Better Than Botox?

Neither product is universally superior. They’re different tools that a skilled injector uses strategically based on your anatomy and desired results.

Dysport® may be the better choice if you:

Botox® tends to be preferred for:

How Much Is Dysport Per Unit?

Pricing for Dysport® is typically quoted per unit, and because Dysport requires more units than Botox to achieve the same effect, the per-unit cost of Dysport is generally lower than Botox. Is Xeomin Better Than Botox?

Xeomin® is sometimes called the “naked” neuromodulator because it’s the only one of the three formulated without accessory proteins. Both Botox® and Dysport® contain complexing proteins alongside the active botulinum toxin; Xeomin® does not.

Why does that matter? Over time, some patients develop antibodies to those accessory proteins, which can cause results to gradually diminish. Because Xeomin® contains only the pure active ingredient, it may be a better option for anyone who has noticed their Botox® or Dysport® becoming less effective over time.

• Onset and duration are comparable to Botox® (4 to 7 days; 3 to 4 months)
