IPL can be a good choice if you want to smooth out variations in skin color or complexion and eliminate spots or small veins. What Should I Expect With The IPL Laser Treatment?
First, your skin in the treated area is cleaned thoroughly so dead skin, makeup, or other impurities don’t blunt the value of the light. Then a cooling gel is applied. The laser is moved over the treatment area, usually in a pattern. You may feel a little tingling or discomfort, but most people have no trouble tolerating thins. Since the light is bright, you may need to wear eye protection. Treatment takes about 45 minutes.
Depending on the issues being address, there may be a need for more than one treatment.
Results
It takes a little time to see results with this treatment. The pigmented skin works its way to the surface and falls off, which beings after a few days. Optimum results usually occur about three months after the last treatment. After treatment, you’ll need sun protection to prevent recurrence.
